As a filmmaker, one of my greatest inspirations is passion; that dedication or intensity that some individuals bring to whatever it is they do. When I met Eric Wolfinger, there was no mistaking that this individual had that passion.
I was immediately hooked when Eric began telling me about his former life as a cook, then apprentice baker and now, a food photographer.
This film is a look into Eric’s life and philosophy of photographing more than a finished plate of food but who makes it, where the ingredients come from and even the people that grow those ingredients. We travel from his kitchen in San Francisco to cacao farms in Tanzania to tell his story.
